Congrats to Nhi B! You're the lucky winner of the Little Star Bounce House!
You came, you saw, you voted.....and we WON!! Thanks to all you for the amazing support you showed! Because of you, we're able to do a review and giveaway for an awesome
Little Star bounce house with slide, from
Bounce Houses Now! How cool is that?
I will be completely honest. I stalked the Fedex website, closely watching and waiting. This is such an exciting moment! So, when I heard a knock at the door, I jumped up and ran. I'm quite sure the neighbors heard me yelling "it's here, it's here"!
Naturally, I was anxious to get it set up. The first thing I did was grab my camera and run outside. Hubby was left doing the brunt work (ahem.. carrying the 42 pound box). He didn't seem to mind though.
When we opened the box, the beautifully vibrant orange and yellow, caught my eye. I took a moment to soak it all in, before removing everything from the box.
Included was the following:
- The Bounce House
- The blower
- A bag of balls (for the ball pit)
- A basketball hoop
- Stakes (for the bounce house & the blower)
- The instructions
- A repair kit (should you ever need it)
- A carrying case
While waiting for the bounce house to arrive, I spent time on the
Bounce Houses Now website. I wanted to learn as much as possible about the
Little Star Bounce House with Slide. While reading, I learned that it also came with 50 balls for the built in ball pit! I wasn't expecting that! Most places that have
bounce houses for sale, charge extra for accessories. This was a nice surprise! Also included was a basketball hoop! There was no mention of that on their site, so I was giddy to say the least! My kids love basketball!
After we removed everything from the box, we spread the contents on the ground and checked to make sure everything was there (something you should always do). Sure enough, it was.
The next step was to check the ground for sharp objects that could potentially pop the bounce house. I had my 10 year old daughter helping me. It's helpful to have an extra set of eyes.
After removing the sticks and rocks that posed a hazard, we were ready to spread out the bounce house. Oh, it was so exciting! Together, we laid it out, unrolled it, and placed it on a level surface.
While we were doing the prep work, hubby was reading the instructions. From what he says, they're very easy to understand. The only thing I
thought was an exaggeration, turned out to be true! The instructions claimed that it takes about 2 minutes for it to inflate. I didn't believe it until I saw it with my own eyes! All we had to do was attach the yellow tubing (connected to the bounce house), to the blower and turn it on. This is where the excitement level went through the roof!
Here are a few pics of if being set up:
Within 2 minutes, the entire bounce house was set up and ready to be used. The moment we had been waiting for was here. I took a minute to walk around the entire bounce house. I wanted to admire it's awesomeness (is that even a word) as well as it's features. That's when I discovered that there's an entry way into the ball pit area. I didn't notice it at first as the opening was closed with velcro. Pretty nifty!
It makes sense to have an entry way, located within the ball pit. Most kids will spend a fair amount of time in there, so having an easy way to climb in and out makes sense.
As you can see, keeping this open is optional. You can press the velcro together and it will turn that door, into a window.
I'd also like to point out the black netting. This can be found on all sides of the bounce house. It not only allows the fresh air to move through it, but it allows you to easily supervise your children as they play.
Note: While the bounce house appears to be quite safe, please, always supervise your children. Kids are curious by nature and can find a way to get hurt.
As I mentioned earlier, the
Little Star Bounce House also came with a basketball hoop. It's the perfect size for jumping and dunking. Any child will feel like a superstar when they bounce up high, and dunk the ball in the hoop! My kids went bananas over this feature.
Setting up the basketball hoop was a cinch. It velcro's to the interior as well as the exterior, for maximum stability. You little ones can hit it, bang it and give it a tug. There's no need to worry about it falling down. It won't budge. I want to add that the entire piece is soft. So, if your child is bouncing like a crazy person and hits his/her head, on the hoop, they'll be fine.
As if the basketball hoop and ball pit weren't more then enough entertainment, there's also a slide! How fun! I watched my little ones power jump, land on their bottoms, and slide right down (repeatedly). This seems to be one of their favorite features. As you can see in the photo below, Haylie (my 2 year old), had no interest in me. I was trying to get her to look at the camera, but she was more interested in exploring everything, that the
Little Star Bounce House has to offer.
At this point, my 3 year old came outside and joined us. His eyes got
big when he saw the bounce house. His exact words were "this is soooooo cool"! He ran right over and started jumping around. I had the pleasure of watching my toddlers play together, without fighting. That's such a nice change! Any parent that has more then one toddler, knows exactly what i'm talking about. I shot a short video clip so I would have proof that they
can get along. It also shows how awesome this bounce house really is!
I can't even begin to tell you just how grateful we are to
Bounce Houses Now, for this amazing opportunity. The kiddos are thrilled to have been given such a wonderful product to play with and review. It's been such a pleasure communicating with the staff at Bounce Houses Now. They're friendly, courteous, and quick to reply. A true reflection of their superior customer service.
That being said, Chase (my 3 year old) has a little something to say on behalf of all of us.
